Suzanne Morsfield

Dr. Suzanne Morsfield is Lukka’s Global Head of Accounting Solutions. She brings more than 15 years of data-driven international corporate reporting and quantitative research experience to her role as a subject matter expert and thought leader in financial reporting for crypto. She gained a wide-range of industry and practical experience while at JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, EY, Thomson Reuters, Capco, Workiva, and Convex, among other companies. She also served as the Director of Research at Columbia Business School’s think tank, the Center for Excellence in Accounting and Security Analysis (CEASA).

After CEASA, Suzanne joined the IFRS Foundation, where she led projects on improving financial reporting standards. She has served on committees for both the FASB and the IFRS Foundation. When she left the IFRS Foundation, Suzanne was commissioned (with Alison Thomas) to conduct a study on investor use of audited corporate reporting information as part of the UK Report of the Independent Review into the Quality of and Effectiveness of Audit (2019, Sir Donald Brydon, CBE).

Suzanne’s academic lecturing and research experience includes contributions to London School of Economics, New York University, and other US universities. She holds a PhD from the University of Arizona and has won numerous teaching and research awards. In addition to her research, education, analysis, and policy/standard-setting experience, Suzanne has held operation roles as controller, accounting policies lead, and deputy CFO for global high-growth SaaS and insurance entities.
