Frank Tsai has more than 25 years of experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, Structured Finance, Global & Capital Markets across Australia and Asia in countries including Indonesia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
He has worked at various international financial firms including Macquarie Bank and Westpac in Sydney, ING Barings in Hong Kong, MUFG Group, Bank Mandiri and Natixis in Singapore.
He has been involved in various M&A and Structured Finance deals, including:
- Circa US$.5 billion Acquisition Finance for the acquisition of the Martabe Gold Mine in Indonesia by EMR Capital and Farallon Capital from G-Resources
- US$80 million portfolio shares-back financing for Saratoga Investama, one of the biggest investment companies in Indonesia
- Acquisition of a controlling interest in Anaconda Nickel Ltd. (currently known as Minara Resources), one of the largest publicly listed nickel companies in Australia by MattinPatterson
- US$125 million Convertible Bond Repackaged Loan through a bankruptcy-remote SPV on the Convertible Bonds of one of the biggest real-estate companies in Singapore
Frank was also a registered representative for Macquarie Bank in EMTA in connection with his involvement in distressed debts structuring.
