David has been the Group Chief Accountant of FTSE 100-listed BAT since 2014. Having qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 1999, David audited the BAT Group before joining in 2001. He has undertaken a number of roles within BAT, including: Finance Controller (Turkey), Head of Finance (UK & Ireland), Head of Supply Chain Finance (London HQ) and Head of Reporting (Western Europe, Amsterdam).
In his current role, David is responsible for BAT’s external reporting, including delivery of the Annual Report (including Fast Close), the Group accounting policies and chart of accounts. David also manages the UK corporate hierarchy and is the SOx Committee Chairman.
David is married with two children and, in his spare time, enjoys golf and watching all sports.
